Campbell Hurls Oakland to Shutout Win Friday, August 30th , 2086 Pat Campbell bent a little, but he didn't break against the Hartford Hawks. The Oakland Mongooses pitcher hurled a 5-hit 6-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 9 strikeouts. "Pat is good at getting out of jams," Mongooses manager told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." This year Campbell has posted a 9-6 mark in 21 starts and has a 2.37 ERA. |
