The Schenectady Blue Jays started the Division Series in style today, winning on the road against the Boston Ninja Black Sox at Blacksox Ballpark by a score of 7-5 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Blue Jays right fielder Lorenzo Valenzuela excelled. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

Ismael Gallegos had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and the bases loaded, the Schenectady second baseman hit a 2-run single. That put the Blue Jays in front, 7-5.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Valenzuela.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Blacksox Ballpark in Boston.
