River Bandits Sunk by Ninja Black Sox

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Boston Ninja Black Sox and Pittsburgh River Bandits.
The Boston Ninja Black Sox picked up a win at Blacksox Ballpark, dropping the Pittsburgh River Bandits, 5-3. Darryl Washington, who finished 3rd in the EL in strikeouts with 160 in 2082, was the difference-maker. Washington got the win, improving to 13-8. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
The Ninja Black Sox got a big at-bat from catcher Luis Montano. For the game, Montano went 2-3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Boston a 2-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Montano.
The Ninja Black Sox lead the Eastern League Raht Division by 5 games.
