New York Loses Denny Brown Sunday, June 7th , 2009 The injury bug struck Denny Brown of the Yankees in today's game against the Diamondbacks. The 31-year-old reliever was hurt while throwing a pitch and will miss 5-6 weeks with shoulder inflammation. Brown has pitched 20.1 innings and molded a 2.66 ERA with 5 saves. He has surrendered 19 hits while registering 21 strikeouts on his way to a 0-3 record for the Yankees this year. |
