Applegate Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, July 5th , 2026 It was a magical day at the plate for Charleston RiverDogs shortstop Carson Applegate. The 22-year-old Applegate helped lift Charleston to a 6-5 win over the West Virginia Power today at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. Applegate smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Carson Applegate singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. For the year Applegate has hit at a .269 clip with 20 RBIs, 2 home runs and 29 runs scored. |
