Hamada Rewarded with 2037 JCL Most Valuable Player Award Wednesday, November 4th , 2037 Okayama's Hiroyasu Hamada put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2037 Central League Most Valuable Player Award. The 29-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .285 average, picking up 148 hits, 31 doubles, 3 triples, 28 home runs and 94 RBIs, while scoring 90 runs. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Daijiro Kawasaki of the Chiba Renegades finished second in voting, while Julio Bustamante of the Chiba Renegades finished third.
