Blue Jays Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Astros, 6-3
Toronto Blue Jays starter Mike Salway pitched a strong game against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park, leading the Blue Jays to victory, 6-3. The Astros, now 11-18, continue their inauspicious start.

Toronto used the timely hitting of Jim Hofman to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Houston skipper Collin Cowgill.
