The Houston Astros finished off the Texas Rangers, 8-3. Much of the credit belonged to left fielder Josh Couch. Couch went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Astros. Houston pitcher Danny Coggins got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Dan Christianson got the loss. Texas falls to 10-6.

Lagunas de Nisibón, Dominican Republic-born Robby Iniguez came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Astros trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Houston on top.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Iniguez. "But I have better dreams after a win."
