The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Boston Red Sox, 12-4. Starting pitcher Greg Driscoll played a key role in the triumph. Los Angeles goes to 83-59. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.

Vantrell Cobb had a big 3-run home run for the Angels in the bottom of the second inning. With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a sinker from former first round draft pick Sean McCrory and punished it. The result was his 22nd home run of the season, which put the Angels on top, 3-1.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Driscoll after the game.
