Sean McCrory, who is tied for 4th in the AL with a 10.8 K/9 rate, was locked in. The right-hander led the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Fenway Park. Boston, at 54-63, sits in 4th place in the American League East Division.
Tim Pondo, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2033 draft, helped out the Boston cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with a double.
"I found a nice groove out there," said McCrory.
