Kansas City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Kansas City Royals pitcher Jorge Andres Henry was in top form, leading his team past the Seattle Mariners, 3-0. The win went to Ethan Small in relief, making him now 1-0. Ian Montgomery took the loss for Seattle. The Mariners, at 64-54, have lost 4 straight games.
Kansas City got a knockout punch from Mike Johnson. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Jorge Andres executed his pitches at a high level," said Kansas City manager Mike Yastrzemski.
