It wasn't easy but the Winston-Salem Dash made it look that way.

Starter Josh Jones shut out the Hickory Crawdads despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Winston-Salem Dash cruised to victory, 8-0. Jones allowed only 4 hits and rang up 12 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

To date this year, Jones has compiled a 7-1 mark with a 1.41 ERA in 11 starts.
