Division Series Game 1 Goes to Tampa Bay, Thanks to Watson
The Tampa Bay Rays started the Division Series in style, downing the visiting New York Yankees at Tropicana Field by a score of 10-1 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Rays catcher Bobby Watson belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4.

Watson had a key at-bat in the bottom of the first to put Tampa Bay in front, 3-0. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run off New York pitcher Alex Gonzales.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Tampa Bay manager Mike Pelfrey said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
