With 3-0 Win, Cubs Go to 42-36
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Chicago Cubs and the Detroit Tigers, 26-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Rios was the difference-maker. The Chicago right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Nate Rogers was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities. Chicago now has a record of 42-36 with the win.
With two out in the top of the fourth, Dong-hyun Kim put Chicago in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Cubs went on to win the ballgame.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Kim said after the game.
