Reds Suffer 11-5 Home Defeat
Behind the hitting of Mike Creighton, the St. Louis Cardinals stopped the Cincinnati Reds, 11-5. Creighton went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for the Cardinals. Reliever Atsushi Ikuta picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Martin Herrera took the loss. St. Louis has now won 4 straight.

St. Louis used a clutch at-bat from Jon Baca to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
