Ledesma Rips Benicia for 5 Hits Saturday, August 9th , 2081 It was a sensational day at the plate for Vincente Ledesma as he led the charge to a nifty 12-3 win over the Snake Eyes. The South Bend second baseman was pure misery for the Benicia pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Ledesma put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Snake Eyes, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Vincente Ledesma singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Rob Brister in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
