Roche Goes 5-for-7 Sunday, August 25th , 2080 The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Randy Roche. The center fielder for the Taft Chippers hit the milestone against the Brisbane Gaels, helping his club to a narrow 5-4 victory. Roche finished with a 5-for-7 line at the plate. "Roche was a tough out," Brisbane manager told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Randy Roche hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 13th.
