Espinoza Goes on Rampage Against Barbarians Friday, August 26th , 2078 It was a good day for the Diablos at Barbarians Park as they clipped the New Castle Barbarians, 15-1. It was tremendous day for Vladimir Espinoza, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Clarks right fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Vladimir Espinoza struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year Espinoza has socked 46 hits in 119 at-bats for a .387 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .432 pace and his totals also include 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored. View Boxscore |
