Horizon League Names Top Player Monday, August 1st , 2078 Carter McKenzie must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .545 clip, then the Pleasant Hills center fielder finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the HL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week McKenzie batted .545 (12-for-22) with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs. Currently McKenzie is batting .369 with 41 hits and 11 home runs. He has knocked in 32 runs and scored 24 times. |
