Players Suspended in Angels-Continentals Donnybrook
Wednesday, August 10th , 2078
If there wasn't a history between Chad Rojas of Santo Domingo and David GutiƩrrez of Juncalito, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Rojas said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Looking at his stats this year, Rojas has compiled a .255 batting average, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 14 runs. He has played in 48 games and scored 18 runs.
In no relief appearances this season, GutiƩrrez has no saves. He has 7 wins and 1 loss, 3.08 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 73 innings.
