Warcats Advance to Round 2 Monday, August 26th , 2080 The Antilla Warcats are bound for the Round 2. A 10-6 win over the Santa Cruz del Sur Prairie Dogs at Santa Cruz del Sur Stadium ended the Round 1, 4-1. "We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Ramón Bega. "This could be the biggest celebration Antilla has ever seen if we can win the Cuba Rookie League Championship Series\." The state of the Liga de Desarrollo Cubana championship remains in doubt, but the Warcats certainly appear to be strong contenders. Bega was named MVP of the Round 1 after he posted a .440 batting average, while adding 6 home runs, driving in 14 RBI and scoring 7 runs. The Antilla Warcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the La Habana Cubs - Florida Yankees series. Florida leads the series 3 games to 1.
