Elizabethton Bats Silenced by Zamora
Friday, July 28th , 2084
Alvino Zamora of the Chehalis Gophers was masterful, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 2-0, against the Elizabethton River Riders.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Chehalis manager .
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Zamora had 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
