5 Hits for Cyclones Porter Tuesday, August 29th , 2073 Brooklyn Cyclones center fielder Axel Porter had a day to remember at MCU Park today, ripping apart the Poughkeepsie Lions and sparking the Cyclones to a 13-1 victory. Porter wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Porter told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Axel Porter singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
