Today, the Inland Empire 66ers are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Fort Wayne TinCaps are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently. The 66ers took a 6-3 victory at Cooley Law School Stadium today, which gave Inland Empire a 4-2 series win. With the win, Inland Empire will advance to play in the Midwest Series. "We aren't ready to go home yet," said 66ers second baseman Sebastián Soto, who was named series MVP. The Inland Empire 66ers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Quad Cities River Bandits - Florence Yalls series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Midwest Series schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
