Torrid August Gets Barrientos MID #1 Batter Trophy Thursday, September 1st , 2078 August was a good month for Manuel Barrientos. The Florence second baseman had his way with opposing pitchers all month while posting a .346 batting average and was selected as the Midwest League Batter of the Month. Last month Barrientos put up some solid numbers: 13 home runs, 30 RBIs, 28 runs scored and a .440 on-base percentage. So far on the season Barrientos is hitting .346 with 14 home runs, 37 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 44 hits and played in 32 games. |
