Cranford Fires 1-0 Shutout for New Hampshire Wednesday, August 31st , 2078 A favor to his bullpen. That's what Colton Cranford was doing at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium today as he blanked the Hartford Yard Goats in a 9-inning complete game shutout. "I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the New Hampshire Fisher Cats left-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid." Cranford notched 9 strikeouts, surrendered 3 walks, allowed 5 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long. Thus far this season Cranford has posted a 11-6 record, started 18 games, struck out 141 batters in 144 innings and compiled a 3.94 ERA. View Boxscore |
