Landeros Grabs LDB Reliever of the Year Award Wednesday, September 14th , 2078 José Landeros was a calming influence out of the Vega Baja A-Listers bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Liga de Desarrollo Boricua Reliever of the Year Award for 2078. The Cueto, Cuba native won the award with 7 saves in 11 relief appearances, 35 strikeouts in 31.2 innings and a record of 3-0 to go with his 0.57 ERA. He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 32. Derrell Gibson of the Quebradillas Warhawks finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Joel Penado of the Maunabo Quakes finished third with 3 first place votes.
