Maxwell Goes on Rampage Against Cardinals
Tuesday, July 25th , 2084
It was a sensational day at the plate for Cabo Rojo Expos third baseman Bryce Maxwell, but a tough one for the team, as the Expos dropped the contest, 13-12, to the Cayey Cardinals.
Even with the loss, Maxwell was pure misery for the Cayey pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-6 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Maxwell, who is the 23-year old third baseman .
"Maxwell really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Cardinals manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Bryce Maxwell struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Maxwell is batting .344 with 42 hits, 3 home runs, 18 RBIs, .406 OBP and has scored 20 runs.
