Zarate Bashes 5 Base Hits Thursday, July 14th , 2078 The Peñuelas Alligators upended the Mayaguez Mets at Alligators Field today, thanks in large part to shortstop Jesús Zarate, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Alligators to a 12-5 victory. Jesús Zarate walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alejandro Vargas in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Xavier Iguardia in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
