5-Hit Game for Santana Tuesday, July 5th , 2078 Canóvanas Blue Wings right fielder Dwight Santana had a day to remember at Blue Wings Field today, ripping apart the Naranjito Big Stick and sparking the Blue Wings to a 7-6 victory. Santana wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-7. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Santana told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Dwight Santana singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 11th and doubled in the 13th.
