Serna Goes 6-for-7 Against Cabo Rojo
Tuesday, June 21st , 2078
A jubilant Jonathan Serna joined the postgame press conference at Ballpark Boricua today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Cabo Rojo Expos pitching staff he had just vanquished.
"It may not have looked like it," said the Salinas Majestics center fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."
That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 6-for-7 hitting performance, which led the Majestics to a 19-1 win.
"He made it look easy," said , manager of the Expos. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."
Jonathan Serna singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Axl Murphy in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Reydel Aguirre in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
