Wade goes 3-for-5 to Power Mariners Offense
|
Seattle right fielder Aaron Wade had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Los Angeles Angels, 10-9. Mark Fenley, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Elden Trung earned the save for Seattle, his 6th of the year.
In the top of the eighth, the Mariners grabbed the lead when Wade hit his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Shinichiro Oi made it 10-7, Seattle.
Wade told a Seattle News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Early on, the Mariners, at 20-6, have excelled.
