Monterrey Held Hitless by Chesbro
Fort Wayne is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Damon Chesbro.

The 23-year-old hurler was dominating against the Monterrey Matadors, leading the TinCaps to a 3-0 win at Parkview Field.

"I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Monterrey manager said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game."

Chesbro had 10 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks en route to the no-hitter.

"Yeah, this was a special day for me," Chesbro said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today."

This year, Chesbro has posted a record of 12 wins and 3 losses with a 2.89 ERA. He has appeared in 19 games and struck out 108 in 124.2 innings.
