It was a sensational day at the plate for Reynosa Broncos center fielder Platón Orengo, but a tough one for the team, as the Broncos dropped the contest, 6-5, to the Corpus Christi Hooks.

Even with the loss, Orengo was pure misery for the Corpus Christi pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Orengo, who is the 23-year old center fielder .

"Orengo really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Hooks manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Platón Orengo doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

At present, Orengo is batting .311 and has collected 7 home runs, 21 RBIs, .366 OBP and scored 20 runs.
