The Cincinnati Reds took on the Montreal Expos at Bank Of Montreal Ballpark.

The 15-2 Cincinnati win over Montreal was due in large part to Roberto Parra. The Reds third baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Luke Timmons was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 1 run on 8 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts.

Hideki Yamazaki had a big 2-run double for the Reds in the top of the first inning. With Cincinnati leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Adrian Carter and swatted a double to right. It was his 25th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Reds ahead, 4-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager TBone Expos.

The losing streak for Montreal has now reached 5 games.
