Szabó Holds Hawks Scoreless
Boldizsár Szabó led the Spokane Indians to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Boise Hawks at Avista Stadium today.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Szabó recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

Szabó yielded 3 hits and had 15 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Boise manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

This year Szabó has made 8 starts, thrown 71 innings, fanned 90 batters and walked 10. His won-lost record is 7-0 with a 2.41 ERA.
