Mariners Lose, 6-2
|
Cleveland Spiders starter Franco Aranda hurled his team past the Seattle Mariners, 6-2. The setback makes Seattle 54-84.
Juan Medina had a big 2-run home run for the Spiders in the top of the sixth inning. With Cleveland leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from former first round draft pick Anoide Alcivar and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Spiders on top, 5-1.
Cleveland manager Nakashi Spiders commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
