Oakland Topples Texas, 5-4
|
The Oakland Athletics beat the Texas Rangers, 5-4. Oakland pitcher and Seoul, South Korea, native Shi-Young So led the way. Oakland has a record of 68-63, placing them third in the American League West.
János Bori dealt the Rangers a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Oakland leading 4-1, Bori, who is a four-time All-Star, hit a 0-1 splitter for a run-scoring single.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Texas manager Brent Rangers. "The effort was great."
