Spirited fans greeted the Oakland Athletics for their clash with the Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers topped the Oakland Athletics, 7-4, with shortstop Remington Brane playing a big role. Brane hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Rangers in the win. Duy Thanh Nguyên earned his 18th save, after closing out the game.

Texas used the hitting of David Soriano to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-0. For the game, Soriano had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Soriano said.

Texas now sits at 57-71, while Oakland falls to 56-73.
