Fans who congregated at Angel Stadium of Anaheim were treated to extra-inning drama.

Despite a great performance by Los Angeles first baseman Bledar Guerrero, the Anchorage Otters defeated the Angels by the score of 8-7 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Guerrero was 1-2 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 2 times. Ethan Cassell earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-2.

Anchorage needed the clutch hitting of Ángel Soto to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Otters on top, 8-7. For the game, Soto had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"It was a test of wills," said Bryan , the Anchorage skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."

The first-place Otters, at 92-30, now lead their division by 25 games.
