Otters Rally For 4-2 Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Anchorage Otters and Los Angeles Angels.
In the 4-2 Anchorage win over Los Angeles, the impact of Davy Peña was substantial. Peña, who is tied for 9th in the AL in home runs with 28, was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Anchorage, at 91-29, is 25 games up in the American League Northwest.
Erno Tóth came through with a big-time hit for Anchorage. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Tóth attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
