Duong Ngô pitched well, but his team, the Las Vegas Black Knights, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Boston reliever Stanley Olmstead picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Duong Ngô shouldered the loss. With the win, Boston has a record of 71-48. Las Vegas falls to 41-77.

One of the clutch hits for Boston came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the eighth with two out, Edwin Escobedo, who is tied for 7th in the AL in bases on balls with 64, hit a run-scoring single to put the Red Sox up, 3-2. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Escobedo. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
