The Orlando Thoroughbreds welcomed the Houston Astros to an afternoon game at Tinker Field.

Orlando starter Sammie Gutiérrez kept the Houston offense in check, while his team cruised to a win, 11-2. In 8 innings, Gutiérrez surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs.

Braz Reyez had a big 2-run double for the Thoroughbreds in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Orlando leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a knuckle curve from fan favorite Qinghua Li and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thoroughbreds ahead, 4-0.

Orlando manager Anthony T-Breds commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
