The Anchorage Otters overcame a good performance by Kansas City center fielder Ian Wallace to knock off Kansas City, 10-9, in 11 innings at The Sea. Wallace went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Anchorage reliever Sidney Drury picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Usaburo Takada was saddled with the loss. The losses continue to mount for Kansas City, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

Anchorage got a clutch hit from Erno Tóth. The center fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"I expect to carry this team on my shoulders at times," said Tóth.
