Rangers Zip Past Mariners, 6-0
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Field, knocking off the Seattle Mariners, 6-0. Starting pitcher Sutut Thongsinual played a key role in the triumph. The last-place Rangers have won 5 straight.
The Rangers got a big at-bat from left fielder Conner Webb. For the game, Webb went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Texas a 2-0 lead.
"Sutut pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Texas manager Brent Rangers.
