The Valley of the Sun Infernos racked up a win at Chase Field, bumping off the Atlanta Hammers, 8-4. Mushanokoji Nishioka, who started for Valley of the Sun, pitched effectively for his team. Atlanta now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

Valley of the Sun right fielder Keith Steel helped the Infernos go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Steel hit a run-scoring single off Atlanta pitcher M.O. Reggie.
