Rangel K's 10 En Route to 2-1 Cardinals Win
|
St. Louis got a first-rate effort from pitcher Santiago Rangel, who frustrated Milwaukee hitters en route to a 2-1 Cardinals triumph at Miller Park. Adrian Randolph earned the save for St. Louis, his 5th of the year. At 45-45, the Cardinals claim second place in the National League Central.
Rangel made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The St. Louis right-hander encountered little resistance from the Milwaukee hitters. His season record is now 3-0.
"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Rangel.
