Goff Helps Boston Bombard Chicago
The Boston Red Sox cruised to a win over the Chicago Cubs, 17-4, at Wrigley Field. Jaxson Goff led the way, going 3-for-5 for Boston. Victor Marín, the winner, goes to 7-4. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. Boston now sits at 42-24, while Chicago falls to 37-30.

With Boston trailing 1-0 in the top of the second, Goff hit a 2-run single off Chicago hurler J.B. Rojas. It was the 19th hit of the season for Goff and put his team ahead, 2-1.
