Phillies Get One-Run Win at New York
Philadelphia beat New York at Citi Field, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Mateo Negron. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Pablo Sanchez. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 1. Robinson Polidori earned his 16th save, after closing out the game.

Michael Jarman came through with a big-time hit for Philadelphia. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

After the game, Philadelphia manager Bobby McGrew applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.

The Phillies raised their record to 26-37.
