Battle Wings Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep
|
The Minas Battle Wings are on to the Round 2 after a convincing series win over the Artemisa Twins.
Minas wrapped up the series sweep with a 6-0 win in the last game, to take the series 4-0.
"We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Chance Zisk, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Zisk hit .562 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 7 runs.
The Minas Battle Wings don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Santiago A-Listers - La Habana Cubs series. Santiago leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
